The Lagon
Kitesurf Madagascar School faces the vast protected lagoon of the Emerald Sea. Wave riders, freeriders, and freestylers will find a little corner of paradise to sail away from the crowds. Practice your favorite sport with peace of mind on a turquoise sea with warm and crystalline waters spanning an area of approximately 36 km2. The average depth of the lagoon is 3 meters, and the bottom is mostly sandy. There are some coral formations near the coast and a mixture of sand and rocky debris on the seabed. Remember to bring your useful water shoes, especially when entering and exiting the water at low tide.

Wind Conditions and Temperature
The northern part of Madagascar is ventilated by trade winds from April to November. The wind blows consistently every day once the season begins and ranges from 20 to 40 knots. The most commonly used kite sizes range from 5 to 9 meters during the peak of the season. Contact us a few days before your arrival to inquire about the on-site wind conditions. The days are sunny, and the air temperature ranges from 25 to 30°C. Bring a warm sweater for cool evenings.
