Our School
Located in the northern part of Madagascar in the stunning setting of the Emerald Sea, Kitesurf Madagascar School offers kitesurfing lessons from beginners to advanced levels. Learn how to navigate or improve your style. The lessons are provided either individually or in small groups of two people to adapt to each person’s progression. Each lesson is tailored to your expectations and goals, taking into account your sports background and weather conditions. Discover how this sport, accessible to everyone, is easy to learn while having fun. We invite you to consult our learning programs for all the details regarding our rates and objectives. The time required for learning will depend on your skill level. Our personalized teaching method and instructors will guide you until you become independent. If you already know how to navigate, we offer supervised sessions or one of our advanced clinics.
The Classes
During the initiation stage, you will learn the basics of kitesurfing (approximately 1 hour on land and 1 hour in the water). The first hour is used for theory, demonstrating the wind window, kite setup, inflation, and safety basics. From there, it’s time to have fun while learning how to handle and control the kite. By the end of the session, our aim is to ensure that all students are comfortable with their first series of body dragging and ready to move on to the rest of the teaching program.

The courses of 2, 3, and 4 days cover basic kite control and handling before moving on to body dragging, kite control with the board, self-rescue techniques, and kite relaunching, and eventually addressing waterstart and upwind riding.
With dedicated and tailored personal coaching for all levels of kiteboarders, whether you are a new rider, an intermediate rider, or an advanced rider looking to progress, we offer individual lessons that cater to your specific needs. You can practice transitions, your first jumps, learn to surf waves, or explore more advanced freestyle tricks under the supervision of our team.
